Jim & Alicia + Baby on the Way I Phoenix, AZ Maternity Photographer

To say that I am obsessed with this session is an understatement! I was SO excited to be able to take these photos!  We had an amazing morning that was filled with some thick, unexpected fog! I've lived in Arizona for a combined total of about 5 years and I have NEVER seen fog like that fog we had the morning of this session. It happens in Pennsylvania and South Carolina all of the time, but Arizona?!? I drove into it on the way to the session and couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of my car. By the time we got started it had lifted drastically, but it stuck around enough to create some amazing light opportunities and moody pictures.

It was so difficult to pick photos for this preview because I wanted to use them all!!! Here's just a few favorites. I'm absolutely thrilled for the two of you and I can't wait to meet sweet baby Ariel! You are going to be fabulous parents. Thank you for sharing your morning with me and allowing me to capture these special moments. 

P.S. - Isn't she just gorgeous? And doesn't she have the cutest little baby bump!

 

The Messner Family + Baby on the Way! l Surprise, AZ Maternity and Family Photographer

This beautiful momma to be and her family are one of the reasons why I consider Arizona my home away from home. I am just so excited for them and can't wait to meet this sweet little one!!! 

Our sessions were done on a couple of different days. The first, just a quick 15 minutes as the sun set behind the White Tank Mountains. (I wanted to test out what my camera could do with the landscape and the sunset light.) The second, about 5 min in the living room before we raced out the door. Then we got the whole family together and had fun playing and braving the heat! Your family is beautiful and I can't wait until it's a family of four!!!

     When Jen contacted me about photos and mentioned South Mountain as the location she was thinking about,  I don't know what I was thinking, but I was picturing a completely different area of Phoenix. We took a trip to scout it out and it.was.amazing!!! Desert, windows, and some pretty fun colors! 

     I loved everything about this session!!!! The location, the buildings, the amazing job you did picking out these colors and outfits, but most importantly, the love and moments captured between the two of you before your little one arrives. You were definitely brave venturing out during the AZ summer heat! You are going to be amazing parents and I can't wait to meet this sweet little one! He is going to be so loved!
